We are looking to hire a Compensation and Benefits Manager to work in our Beachwood, OH office.

We are looking for an experienced Compensation and Benefits Manager to lead the strategy and administration of the Master Builder’s Solutions Compensation and Benefits programs.  The Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of the compensation and benefits structures, programs, processes and guidelines for the Americas region.  The role manages compensation and benefits programs in order to evaluate internal equity, external market competitiveness, and legal compliance of the organization's corporate compensation and benefits structure and practices.

  • Partners with global compensation & benefits to ensure alignment of regional strategy to the overall goals of the global organization.
  • Prepares the regional compensation and benefits budget, including the regular monitoring, reporting and adjusting of the budget
  • Develop total rewards strategy in alignment with company’s long-term strategic plans
  • Manage benchmarking analysis; evaluate job content/wages/salaries for internal equity, market competitiveness, FLSA classification and legal compliance of the organizations pay practices
  • Deliver strong analytical advice on internal compensation strategies, market data, salary surveys and compensation practices in collaboration with HR and Talent Acquisition Teams to make recommendations and influence business decisions
  • Identify market trends to monitor competitiveness of programs, model cost implications, and recommend innovative and effective solutions
  • Ensure that compensation solutions are cost effective, market competitive, support business goals and strategies, and are in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and policies
  • Collaborate with HR team on the annual compensation planning cycle facilitating the overall process for merit, market adjustments & promotions.
  • Work as a strategic partner to our business leaders to solve compensation-related business challenges throughout the organization
  • Manage current benefits plan and recommend modifications by analyzing options and estimating future costs, maximizing cost effectiveness of a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, workers‘ compensation, leave of absence and other ancillary benefits and initiatives
  • Partner directly with insurance brokers and benefits carriers to maximize offerings to employees and ensure our benefits remain competitive with the market and authentic to the needs of our employees
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; obtain qualified opinions; enforce adherence to policy requirements; advise management on needed actions



  • Minimum of 7 years of Benefits and Compensation design and administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related field
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong analytical skills and thorough knowledge of plan design
  • Detail oriented; demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with MS Office products
