We are looking to hire a Production Supervisor to work in our manufacturing facility in Brighton, CO.

 

This is just a high-level overview of the role we need you to fill for us

Assist the Production Team technically and physically to satisfy Brighton Site production requirements.  This will require participation in the coordination of production, maintenance, technology improvements, capital investment, health and safety, ecology, quality assurance, logistics and working closely with shift team members in a "High Performance Team" environment.

 

  • Lead and supervise employees to ensure all housekeeping and safety policies and procedures are understood and followed and take immediate steps to correct any unsafe working conditions.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems, according to company policies and procedures.
  • Will assume full team development responsibilities: interview, training progression, coaching, performance discipline, promotions, payroll, and recommendations for termination of employment as applicable. 
  • Will assume on shift process management including: material plans, resources, staffing, and flow of materials/work etc. through department and ensures new technology, process and/or procedures are smoothly transferred into daily activities.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews for EHS Incidents and ensure proper follow up of action items to increase site safety.
  • Lead initiatives to improve housekeeping practices at the Brighton facility and create a program to maintain these initiatives.
  • Promote site safety initiatives through participation in PHAs, HAZOPs, and audit activities.
  • Investigate process optimization and develop Lean/Six Sigma projects through data analysis and operational observations.
  • Provide engineering and technical support to the production and maintenance teams.  Resolve problems, address functional issues, and provide guidance to end-users.
  • Site support for the management of change process, ensuring changes are captured and proper safety documentation is provided.

 

These skills and experiences will make you a good fit for this role

  • GED & relevant work experience required.  Bachelor of Science degree, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred. 
  • Engineering experience in production facilities and/or manufacturing environments.  Experience with construction chemicals a plus.
  • Team leadership/management experience.
  • Experience in Lean/Six sigma manufacturing techniques preferred.
  • Trouble shooting, root cause analysis, process optimization, and operation experience desired.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, initiative, follow up, analysis and problem assessment skills required.
  • Must have general computer skills and have generic competencies of analytical thinking, communication and interpersonal understanding, customer focus, entrepreneurial acting/initiative, team leadership/collaboration, results oriented, organization awareness, and change orientation/management. 
  • This position is assigned a 12-hour shift and can be assigned nights and/or days and will rotate after periods of time. The first assigned shift will be from 4:00p – 4:30a
  • Manage a team of ~20 people and frequent contact with members other departments to meet operational requirements.
