We are looking to hire a Head of Sales – Admixture Systems to work in the Beachwood, OH office.

 

This is just a high-level overview of the role we need you fill for us

The Head of Sales – Admixture Systems (VP title) will be responsible for managing the entire sales organization for the Admixture Systems business line. This includes divisional sales managers, strategic account managers, business development managers, and the concrete technology support role. The position will be responsible for driving sales effectiveness and efficiencies through ongoing talent assessments and ensuring training to the competencies laid out in the Progression Promotion guidelines. Another key component of the role is to support the innovation process through collection of market needs and opportunities, as well as effective launches of new products and solutions. The Head of Sales will also be responsible for ensuring optimum value creation through proper price management and execution. The position shall also promote values of the Master Builders Solutions brand and offering within the industry and academic circles.

Knowledge and Experience

  • B.S. in a construction related field desired
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in managing a remote sales organization within the
  • construction or related market sectors
  • Broad knowledge of the concrete industry, including production methods, materials, sales
  • channels, and typical customers
  • Understanding of the construction chemicals business and the value drivers within the
  • construction industry preferred
  • Current or previous membership and participation in industry associations, such as the
  • American Concrete Institute (ACI), the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM),
  • the National Ready Mix Concrete Association (NRMCA), the Precast Concrete Institute (PCI),
  • the National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA), and related associations
  • Understanding of the key drivers of the concrete construction industry
  • Recognized person within the concrete construction industry
  • Established relationships with key stakeholders within the industry
  • Business leadership (P&L) experience preferred
  • Experience with organizational transformations preferred

Principal Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales force to success, as measured by overall sales volume growth, sales per FTE,
  • sales of value-added products (VAPs), and other metrics
  • Serve as a key component of the AS Leadership Team, which sets the direction of the
  • business line and supports profitable growth
  • Support the yearly budgeting process and the strategic direction of the business line
  • Mentor divisional, regional and area managers towards leadership positions
  • Support succession planning for the entire sales organization
  • Participate in the Concrete Industry Management programs, including interactions with
  • principal institutions, as well as other academic institutions that support the industry
  • Build relationships with key customers to ensure a sustainable admixture business
  • Support the Request for Proposal (RFP) / tender process for key customers, ensuring a high
  • rate of success in winning and retaining business
  • Connects with other parts of the Master Builders Solutions Admixture Systems business
  • globally to understand and implement best practices
