We are looking to hire a Territory Sales Manager – Constructions Systems – Vancouver, BC

The Territory Sales Manager- Construction Systems primary responsibility is to develop new business through existing and potential customers base and lead the development of customer relationships at all levels.  Perform all necessary sales and marketing activities for targeted segments involving core product growth in such a manner as to facilitate project-oriented sales.

  • Grow market share through targeted focus on chosen market segments, restoration, building exteriors, parking structures and industrial projects.
  • Grow segment product sales through targeted solution packages.
  • Develop and maintain a high value business relationship with contractors, distributors, owners, Engineering and Architectural firms.
  • Improve clarity and consistency of needed communication with distributor partners.
  • Vision – know every job / square footage / market potential / market share.

 

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

•             A minimum of five years of experience with the sale of specialty construction materials and/or experience
              as a contractor/applicator of concrete repair, strengthening and restoration with a proven track record of
              performance.

•             Strong understanding of the specification process, specification sections with focus on division 3, 7 & 9
              systems.  Experience with local, provincial and national standards & codes.

•             Experience with the needs of engineers, specifiers, and contractors in the construction process.  

•             Demonstrates a robust understanding of how construction products are sold into the targeted segment
               through the various channels of sale.  Channel of sales include but are focused on Architects, Engineers,
               Specifiers, Distributors, Owners and Contractors.

•             Bachelor’s in business, architecture, engineering, or a related field.  Minimum high school graduation with
               commensurate industry-related work experience.

•             Superior time management skills and ability to excel in a self-directed work environment.

•             Excellent communication (verbal and written) presentation and customer interface skills

•             Experience and training in consultative selling skills.

•             Ability to travel up to 30%. Driving long distances and overnight travel are required. Will work out of home
              offices.

•             Strong skills in work-product organization, action plan development, time management, project
              management, meeting facilitation, relationship building (networking, team building and conflict
              resolution) and public speaking/presentations.

•             Business tools: proficiency with Salesforce platform as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
              Teams.

•             This person must have demonstrated the ability to work independently with a minimal amount of direct
               supervision and ability to work cooperatively with the Western Canada Sales Team.

•             Critical Thinking: Thinks through issues and problems clearly and effectively.
