We are looking to hire a Territory Sales Manager Procurement Manager – Constructions Systems – Mississauga, Ontario

Job Summary

This is just a high-level overview of the role we need you to fill for us

The Territory Sales Manager – Power & Industrial works with specifiers, distributors, contractors, OEM’s and EPC’s to develop project sales and technical specifications.  The incumbent also assists in major project development by answering detail and technical questions before and during a project.  The TSM is also responsible for attending regional and local trade shows.  This role requires active involvement with professional Industry organizations, and provides technical training to specifiers, owners, contractors and OEM’s.

  • Proven track record in Sales/Business Development with experience in the power & industrial vertical market
  • Experience in consultative selling
  • Good working knowledge of Windows, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in using online / electronic databases to generate leads is an asset.
  • Education - Bachelor of Arts/Science degree
  • Experience - Minimum 3 years in the construction industry

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the construction process from inception to completion with a robust understanding (theory and practice) of how power & industrial products are sold into the industry. 
  • Foster safety culture and follow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies associated to the position.
  • Responsible for account development and management.
  • Specification development.  Working with specifiers, EPC’s and OEM’s.
  • National account development.  Developing and maintaining national accounts by working with various major corporations who have multiple locations.
  • Considers the key players and their needs/preferences when proposing solutions.

Experience

  • Sales support.  Working with Sales on major projects.
  • Niche product/project development. Working with Marketing and Sales on developing new business in niche markets.
  • Participate in corporate “continuous improvement process” by investigating and recommending new products and technology.
  • Professional development/networking.  Active involvement in professional organizations and working trade shows.
  • Training - Box lunch presentations for specifiers, EPC’s and OEM’s.  Contractor and Owner training.
  • Communicate fully and clearly with all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Meet company quality standards by providing sound technical advice
  • Makes decisions consistent with the organization’s values.
