Deputy Manager / Manager Sales - Underground Construction

Roles & Responsibilities

Achieve Revenue & Market profitability for TBM Sub-Segment:

  • Formulate aggressive competitive business development, value creation and margin management strategies and meet up annual sales & contribution margin budgets for UGC Segment.
  • Achieve revenue & market profitability by Driving, monitoring, guiding and supporting including management of
  • o (i)Pricing, (ii) Distribution Channel activities (iii) Supply Chain (iv) Key Opportunity Plans & Key Account Plans (v) Implement & Review Product Segment Strategies (vi) Customer Action Plan (vii) Strategic Products (viii) Applicator Development etc
  • Implement Global, Regional and local platform strategy to increase business. Monitor, develop and implement strategies for long term competitiveness of MBSIPL in South Asia & India including successful implementation of strategic investments as approved by RBU / OD.
  • Cooperate with sub-regional, regional and global colleagues to increase business.
  • Drive growth of UGC business with identifying and launching new products, initiative activities of Market Mapping, arriving at correct SRM and carry out product gap analysis.
  • Carry out need based training for internal staff and external stake holders.
  • Achieve excellence by way of participating & representing in national and international seminars, conferences etc. Also carry out specific excellence activities like Customer Day / Segment Day / Product Day.
  • Enable cross-functional business collaboration and synergies with Application, Technical, Specification, Distribution, KOP & KAM, Technical team to maximize MBSIPL value.
  • Oversee the establishment of a database and arrive at correct Market Potential, Market Share and SRM. Also obtain, update, maintain and evaluate market trends, the application of products / technology, the service needs, intelligence on competitors.
  • Demonstrate professional and/or disciplinary leadership of employees, motivation and coaching of sales teams, foster performance-oriented team spirit including management of virtual teams.
  • Ensure compliance with values and principles, code of conduct, consistently and continuously exhibiting SAFE behaviour at driving, project sites, offices and for self and others.
  • Area Focus: UGC Product line – TBM Product lines, certain NATM Tunnels, Certain chemicals regards to construction activities. Admixture products

Education , Experience and Technical & Professional Knowledge


  • Min bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical from a reputed institute.
  • Business Management Degree will be preferable.

Working Experience:

  • Min 6-10 years industry experience in dealing with Metro, Civil, Irrigation, Defense Tunnel
  • Projects in India out of that majority should be with TBM Projects.
  • Short Crating (NATM), TBM consumables, Admixtures, certain Injection products. 

Technical & Professional Knowledge:

  • Exposure and understanding of specialized solutions like Technical Expertise in TBM, Short Crating (NATM) and Admixtures is a must along with selling skills.
  • Thorough understanding of TBM operations in Tunneling (Pre, During & Post Construction).
  • Excellent Selling, Marketing, Presentation & Communication skills.
  • Connects with Developers, Consultants, Contractors, Applicators, Distributors, TBM
  • Suppliers and other Equipment Suppliers in Tunneling Industry.
