Job Summary

The production plant in Redditch is the Global supply plant for the Ucrete polyurethane flooring systems and also for supply of construction systems product supply into the Uk and Ireland markets.

Significant investment is ongoing at the site with a current live project valued at 7.3M€. The site has recently expanded in size and there is considerable scope to influence the future production landscape for this important growth driver for the business.  

Responsibilities

  • To manage all engineering and maintenance activities on site including:
    • Maintenance of all production and ancillary equipment
    • Project management of all capital projects – seeing through from concept to conclusion
    • Continuous improvement – striving to come up with ideas to consistently improve how we do things
    • Maintain all required engineering records and site drawings ensuring legal compliance and effective record keeping
    • Support site management team in effective deployment of resources to enable business targets to be met

Experience

  • Degree trained in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent experience with a lesser qualification
  • 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with some supervisory experience of direct reports and contractor management
  • Good knowledge of process equipment involved in blending and packaging
  • Excellent approach to troubleshooting, electrical/pneumatics/plc/general mechanical issues
  • Effective communication skills to all levels of the organisation, verbal and written
  • Conversant with software, including Excel, Word and ideally Autocad
  • EHS knowledge, ideally with NEBOSH Certificate or IOSH equivalent
  • Must enjoy working as part of a close knit team, have enthusiasm and drive
  • Be prepared to be hands on
