We are looking to hire an Export and Distribution Lead to work out of the Shakopee, MN office.

We are seeking an Export and Distribution Lead based out of our Shakopee, MN office. This role will be responsible for managing and representing the Construction Systems business line with our global Affiliate demand and ensuring timely production and delivery of our products.

As an Export and Distribution Lead You Will…

  • Lead the intercompany transfer and export process within Construction Systems from beginning to end.
  • Track and communicate affiliate order progress from receipt to delivery.   Schedule and lead conference calls as needed to facilitate clear communication.  May require work outside of normal business hours.
  • Develop, maintain and document all processes and procedures related to the export process and communications.
  • Advocate for our Affiliate business needs and represent them alongside the greater business portfolio.
  • Define, monitor and report KPIs to drive process and service improvement. These KPIs include current lead times, average cost per lane, delivery performance, etc.
  • Partner with our foreign trade team to ensure service accountability and best practices are fully utilized.
  • Use your analytical expertise to optimize the manufacturing production plan while coordinating with other supply chain planners to consider all business priorities.
  • Drive conversation with cross-functional teams including customer care, R&D, foreign trade, product management as well as other business units. Utilize internal business unit network to leverage best practices.
  • Lead strategic supply chain planning-related projects/or initiatives to optimize inventory placement and production.
  • Plan and execute inventory transfers between distribution sites to support company service targets while minimizing freight spend and optimizing inventory investment.


These skills and experiences will make you a good fit for this role

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, business or other technical discipline; advanced degree preferred; CPIM certification is a plus.
  • IATA (International Air Transportation Association) Certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Foreign Trade, Supply Chain preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in project management, operations or procurement
  • Expert level understanding of Import/ Export LCL, FCL Ocean and Air Shipping procedures preferred.
  • Knowledge of Foreign legal shipping requirements and best practices.
  • Prior experience leading projects/and or project teams.
  • Advanced knowledge in SAP S4 Hana, Microsoft Excel. Experience with Office 365, and Power BI preferred.
  • Proven strategic thinking skills, highly analytical along with business and financial acumen.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and track record of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill and present complex information across all levels of an organization.
