Job Summary
Our Global Fiber Competence Center works on the research and development of technical fibers for the reinforcement of concrete and operates a pilot plant.
Responsibilities

In collaboration with a team that you coordinate, you operate and maintain a fiber pilot plant for the production of synthetic fibers, including the planning of necessary expansion and maintenance measures.

In addition, you plan projects and necessary resources, conduct and manage research projects, run test series and prepare the results for internal and external publication purposes.

You prepare technical reports, conduct quality controls, take a leadership role and communicate with stakeholders from various institutions.

In order to gain insights for your own research projects, you research scientific literature and patent specifications in the field of fiber technology.
Experience
-
Degree in process engineering, plastics technology, mechanical engineering, (polymer) physics, chemistry or equivalent

Work experience in fiber or film production industry

Experience in research and development projects, including the development of test methods and scientific work. Experiences in polymer and/or mechanical testing is a plus.

Excellent presentation skills and experience in documenting and reporting projects to different management levels

Initial experience in managing and leading a team and/or a laboratory is preferred

Excellent communication skills in English and good language skills in German
