Job Summary

Coordinates the work activities of employees on shift to safely and efficiently execute the daily production schedule. Work activities include the manufacture and packaging of product and all supporting administrative functions including training, documentation, program/SOP development and execution. Handles special projects or work tasks as required.

Responsibilities

Bulk material handling.

Stage raw materials for production process.

Lead daily batch manufacturing activities by directing workflow.

Monitor and observe production equipment to ensure it is operating safely, effectively, and efficiently.

Continually maintain plant and grounds for cleanliness and organization.

Operation of forklifts.

Accurately follow instructions and record data on production tickets including batch sampling and other duties associated with batch formulation, such as weighing, addition, and mixing various ingredients.

Program Dispersers according to daily schedule.

Clean dispersers on normal rotational schedule.

Change blades according to mechanical specs and mixing operations.

Training as assigned for the operation of machines.

Ensuring all plant shutdown procedures are followed at the end of the production shift.  

Follow all appropriate Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies.

Notifies his/her supervisor before undertaking a work activity in which he/she is not adequately trained. 

Immediately reports unsafe acts or conditions to his/her supervisor and takes immediate interim steps to protect himself/herself and others from serious risk.

Must understand and follow all quality initiatives and processes for ISO 9001 and other ISO regulations, procedures, and processes as they pertain to job responsibilities.

Assure standards of safety, environmental, team and individual performance are met in a high-performance team-based organization.

Experience

Experience/ Education: High School Diploma or GED required with 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.

Comments:
