Role Overview

 

This role involves assisting in the assessment and refinement of pneumatics and fluid control systems. Drawing on a comprehensive understanding of equipment functionality and the associated materials, you will oversee the implementation of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in the design and engineering of specialized dispensing systems and possess the ability to conduct root-cause analyses on faulty components. Field testing of all new implementations will also fall under your purview. This position demands extensive knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, solenoids, measuring units, and fluid dynamics. You will collaborate closely with the Field Operations team to offer support for the Field Service Technicians.

 

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

  1. Equipment Maintenance:
    • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    • Identify and address potential issues before they lead to breakdowns or failures.
  2. Troubleshooting and Repairs:
    • Diagnose and resolve mechanical malfunctions or abnormalities using technical knowledge and specialized tools.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement timely and effective solutions.
  3. Optimization and Upgrades:
    • Propose and implement enhancements to improve the efficiency, reliability, and lifespan of mechanical systems.
    • Evaluate and recommend upgrades or replacements of aging equipment.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance metrics.
    • Generate reports on equipment status, highlighting any recurring issues or improvement opportunities.
  5. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement necessary precautions.
  6. Training and Knowledge Sharing:
    • Provide training and guidance to team members on the proper operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in mechanical systems.

 

 

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • 3+ years of field experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and equipment schematics.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Evaluation of new components
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Fluent in Office 365
  • Familiarity with CAD programs
