Role Overview:

The primary function of an entry-level Technician I is to acquire the necessary technical skills to support the development and maintenance of advanced chemical solutions for new construction, preservation, repair, or renovation of structures. The employee provides support to advanced-level technicians, scientists, and managers through the performance of industry-related technical and organizational activities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic materials testing and laboratory testing.
• Prepare chemical, physical, mortar and/or concrete tests.
• Generate and record data.
• Provide accurate verbal and written results and communicate them effectively.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and organized fashion.
• Collaborate with the team on projects.
• Wear necessary safety equipment and follow company established Safety, Health and Environmental (EHS) policies and procedures.  Follow all appropriate EHS policies.

Formula for Success

• Good communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Position Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• ACI Certification preferred – required after employment.
• Prior concrete testing experience preferred; prior laboratory experience preferred.
• Technical aptitude
• Business environment (market/external conditions/challenges the job faces on a regular basis):
  • 90% walking, physical testing, lifting (up to 50 pounds)
  • 10% data collection, data communication
